Collection: Aki Collection

The “Aki” ceramic collection, which takes its name from the Japanese word for “autumn.” The Aki collection is characterized by the use of pale yellow glazes, similar to those in the Natsu collection, with a deep green overlay. This superposition creates a transformation effect where the pale yellow merges into small nucleations of bluish gray, thus transforming the pale yellow into a warm ocher yellow.

The Aki collection captures the essence of fall, with its rich, warm colors, the changing shades of fall leaves and the peaceful atmosphere of this season.

The pale yellow glaze is applied first to the ceramic, creating a bright and delicate base reminiscent of the golden tones of autumn leaves. Next, a layer of deep green enamel is layered over the pale yellow. This layering creates a transformative effect when fired, where the deep green mixes into small nucleations of bluish gray. This mix of colors gives a subtle shade of ocher to pale yellow, evoking the warm, humid hues of fall.

The end result is a harmonious combination of pale yellow, deep green and bluish gray, reminiscent of autumnal landscapes and the enveloping ambiance of the season. Each piece in the Aki collection is a unique work of art, with subtle variations in shades and patterns, reflecting the fleeting beauty of fall.

This collection offers a variety of functional and decorative pieces, such as bowls, plates, dishes and vases. Whether for cozy fall meals or to create an autumnal atmosphere in your home, the Aki collection will bring a touch of seasonal beauty and calm to your space.
